| THE BEGINNING |
| |
|
Seven years ago Dr. Strickland first conceived of
MEDAC. The idea came from the concierge (boutique) practices
that were springing up in California, Florida and New York.
These doctors were charging their patients $25,000 dollars per year or
more. Dr. Strickland liked the idea of the special service being
provided to the patients but wanted to come up with a way that anyone
could afford the program. After much thought and two years of
development and waiting on letters from the State Insurance Commission
authorizing the plan, MEDAC was finally formulated and enrollment
began. |

| THE LAST FIVE YEARS |
| |
|
Since MEDAC was initially targeting the patients that
did not have insurance it has had a small number of patients that
needed the services and given the rigors of the concurrent medical
practice was unable to focus on marketing to a large number and so the
number has been small; but it allowed us to see how to make this idea
work well. |

| THE CURRENT STATE OF AFFAIRS |
| |
|
The threat of the Medicare Cuts and finally
recognizing that the only way to survive insurance was to double the
number of patients. This would result in half of the time spent
with patients and much longer waiting times. Dr. Strickland
decided that this would be intolerable and would be a disservice to
his patients as well as creating as system that would require him to
work faster and harder as each year goes by; making for an impossible
situation in a very short way.
Dr. Strickland's conclusion was to
get out of the insurance based system al-together so that he could
provide exceptional service to his patients and have a quality of life
that would allow himself to remain in good health as well. As a
result, on January first 2007, Dr. Strickland voluntarily opted out of
Medicare and should be opted out of all commercial insurances by April
first 2007 as well. This has allowed any patient* who wishes to
keep their insurance and have the services that MEDAC provides as
well. |

| WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM MEDAC? |
| |
 | Anyone who does not have insurance |
|
 | Anyone that cannot afford insurance |
|
 | Anyone with insurance that wants a supreme level of service |
|
 | Anyone that wants to reduce the cost of their healthcare |
|

*Those patients with HMO style
insurances (ie Viva Medicare, United Health Care) which require the
patient to have a "Networked Physician" will not be able to do this
program as their insurance will not honor the orders, referrals or
prescriptions of the physician |
