Q. How do I become part of MEDAC?
A. Once signed up you will receive a phone number that you will call 24 hours a day/7 days a week and be able to reach him within 30 minutes.
Q. How do I … use my insurance with MEDAC?
A. You will use your insurance when you are seen by any other physician, labs, x-ray facilities or at the hospital. Dr. Strickland no longer files insurance claims on your behalf, his visits will only be paid for under this contract.
Q. How do I … contact Dr. Strickland after hours?
A. Once signed up you will receive a phone number that you will call 24 hours a day/7 days a week and be able to reach him within 30 minutes.
Q. What is the procedure for getting an appointment?
A. Most of the time you will call and speak with Dr. Strickland and you and he will mutually agree on a time to meet for an appointment. There will be limited times that he will be in the office on a regular basis as he will be making house calls. You can call the office and we will relay the message to Dr. Strickland that he will need to call you to set up a time to be seen or you can call him directly (see question 1).
Q. What is … covered under the program?
A. The basic clinical procedures provided under contract to our MEDAC patients are as follows:
Physician Availability:
1. Office visits for diagnostic purposes during posted office hours by appointment.
2. Consultation by phone during office hours for minor medical inquiries.
3. After hours consultation via a beeper phone number.
4. Home visits if deemed necessary by the physician and the patient.
